A Joseph A. St. Pierre (b. 1910) enlisted as a private in the Army, 11 Sep 1942 in Providence, RI. He was single, and was not yet a citizen of the US, but lived in RI. He had a grammar school education, but was skilled in the fabrication of metal products prior to enlisting. He stood 66" and weighed 128 pounds. [WWII Army Enlistment Records]

Per family interview, Joseph and a younger sister were cared for by cousins in Rhode Island after Joseph's father died.
