CONFLICTS

Surname: This database uses Moore. The Genealogy of the Sharpless Family includes both Moore and Moor spellings. [book-genealogy-of-the-sharpless-family-1887]

FOLLOWUP

Jane was "of Hatherton," a hamlet in the parish of Wybunbury. [book-genealogy-of-the-sharpless-family-1887]

She is probably the sister of Daniel Moore, who married John's sister Margery. Jane Moore, who died 27 Mar 1671 according to the Quaker records, is probably their mother. [book-genealogy-of-the-sharpless-family-1887]

John and Jane Sharples and their family are sometimes noted as immigrating aboard the Welcome with Governor William Penn. However, a closer look at the port records from England show that the Sharples family did not arrive until August 1682, aboard the Friendship. [book-passengers-and-ships-prior-to-1684-1970]
