Research Notes (Conflicts/Spelling/Followup)

FOLLOWUP

George's father was born in Iowa, his mother was born in Nebraska. [census-us-1920-ps-tx-carson-13-13a]

George lived in Veronon, TX later in his life. [interview-{private}-2009]

An announcement in the 4 Sep 1960 issue of the Denton Record-Chronical in Dention, TX, section 2, page 4, notes the marriage of Shriley Dell Tipps (daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Sam Tipps) and Glen Edward Cooper (son of Mr. and Mrs. George Apel, of Vernon, TX). Is this the same George Apel? The son is likely the offspring of a previous marriage for Mrs. Apel, and wasn't adopted by George. Who did George marry after he divorced from Cora?

George may have died Mar 1984, in Vernon, Wilbarger County, Texas. [research-social-security-death-index]
