Research Notes (Conflicts/Spelling/Followup)

CONFLICTS

Birth Location: This database uses Iowa. An interview with Jack Allgier indicated he was born in Ireland. [interview-jack-allgier-2011]

FOLLOWUP

According to an interview with one of his grandsons, John changed his name from Paine (or Payne, the interview was verbal) to Miller. However, his wife Ila's last name is Payne. Ila did have a brother John Payne according to her obituary, which may be the source of this confusion. The interview also noted that John had a brother J. C. Paine; is this also Ila's brother, or did John have a brother J. C.? [interview-jack-allgier-2011, obituary-ila-miller-1944]
