Birth Date: This database uses 30 Sep 1797. The 1860 U.S. Census gives an age of (63), which, when applied to the official census date of 1 Jun 1860, gives a birth date range from 2 Jun 1796 to 1 Jun 1797. [census-us-1860-ps-in-hendricks-center-57]
FOLLOWUP
David's parents were David & Lydia Osborn. [marriage-osborn-stanley-1824, family-david-anna-osborn-millcreek-mm]
David's parents may have been David Osbourne, Sr. born 29 Oct 1762 in New Garden, and Lydia Davis.
David Osborn and Anna Stanley were married in the Hopewell meeting house. [This meeting appears to have been established the same month they were married.] [marriage-osborn-stanley-1824]
A girl named Rhodema[sp?] Osborn (3 years old, born in Indiana) is identified as living with David and Anna Osborn on 1 Jun 1850, and thus probably born between 2 Jun 1846 and 1 Jun 1847. Was she a daughter? niece? cousin? She isn't found in either the 1860 U.S. Census or an extract of Mills Creek Monthly Meeting records that note the birth and death of David and Anna's son Mordecai in 1848. [census-us-1850-ps-in-hendricks-center-33a]
The 1860 U.S. Census shows two young adults, Asiana[?] (21, femaile) and Alenee[?] (17, male) living with David and Anne Osborn. These are probably Asenath and Eunice, but the difference in names is confusing, as is denoting Alenee[?] as a male. [census-us-1860-ps-in-hendricks-center-57]
The 1860 U.S. Census shows three Montgomery girls, Sarah (11), Nancy (4) and Anna (2), all born in Indiana and living with David and Anna Osborn. Are they descendents of (or at least related to) Isaac and Elizabeth (Spear) Montgomery? [census-us-1860-ps-in-hendricks-center-57]
David and Anna are listed in the 1870 U.S. Census as neighbors of daughter Eunice and her husband, Henry. Living with David and Anna is Sarah Montgomery (21) who may be a child of the first marriage of David's second wife, Anna (Montgomery) Mille, and may be related to Sadie Montgomery (see Spear Archive photo #TODO-photo-not-yet-cataloged). Also living with David and Anna is Luzina Osborn (age 41) who is listed as "idiotic" (meaning a person whose mental capability never came to maturity, having been arrested in infancy or childhood). [census-us-1870-ps-in-hendricks-center-17]
David may have been born in New Garden, Guilford County, NC, This matches a Find A Grave entry for David Osborn (no images), memorial #170134395.
