FOLLOWUP
In 1880, Eliza was living with her father, Andrew, and identified as a widow. [census-us-1880-ps-oh-washington-227-x198b]
A gravestone is shared between her father, Andrew Spear and Eliza Howell. Presumably, Eliza had married someone with the surname Howell. [marker-andrew-spear-eliza-howell-1887-1916]
The memorial for Eliza (#167321692) references David William Howell (#167322129) as her spouse. However, there is nothing on his marker, which doesn't even include a death date, to support this. According to the memorial, he died in 1863 and the marker identifies him with a military group, Company A, 77th Ohio Infantry. My take is that he was killed in the war and has the minimal marker associated with military burials during conflict.
