Research Notes (Conflicts/Spelling/Followup)
FOLLOWUP
Mable's parents may have been Alfred and Susan Miller, and she may have been born 27 Jun 1888 in Mound City, Holt County, Missouri. [research-a-spear-family-history]
Was Mable's first name really Ella, and Mable her middle one? [research-a-spear-family-history]
Her father may have been born in Pennsylvania and her mother in Virginia. [census-us-1910-ps-ks-norton-115-sheet 5a]
Frank and Ella may have had another child, Bonita Spear (b. 4 Jul 1911 in Hoxie, Kansas). [research-a-spear-family-history]
However, Bonita was not recorded in the 1920 Census with parents Frank and Myrtle. Where was she? There is a 1920 U.S. Census record for 8-year old Boneta Spear, born in Kansas, living with her uncle Simon Metzgar, his wife Amanda, and their son Walter. Is this the same Bonita/Boneta? Frank's sisters are not known to have married any Metzger. Did Ella have a sister Amanda who married Simon? Is the Miller name incorrect and should be Metzger? And why would she be staying with an uncle? For school? (From the 1920 U.S. Census, in Benton, Holt County, Missouri, eunumeration district 133, page 5A.)
Bonita Spear may have married 3 Apr 1930 in Oregon, Missouri, Kenneth R. Gibson (b. 9 Jan 1910 in Mound City, Missouri). [research-a-spear-family-history]
Kenneth Gibson's father may have been James W. Gibson (b. about 1878, Missouri) and his mother may have been Hattie V. Gibson (b. in Missouri). James was the proprieter of a blacksmith shop in 1910 and the family was living in Mound, Holt County, Missouri. (From the 1910 U.S. Census.)
Bonita and Kenneth had a child, {private} [research-a-spear-family-history]
Kenneth may have died 17 Oct 2003 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. [research-social-security-death-index]
