General Notes and Anecdotes

In 1880, the household included a live-in hired hand (presumably for the farm) named Oscar Wilson. Also living with her family was the family of her father, Gilbert Smith, which included Clarissa, Gilbert's second wife, and a live-in servant, 27-year old Elsie Boss.
