Richard's parents were John Fawkes (b. England) and Ann ____.
Richard may have been born in 1710 in Concord, Chester County, Province of Pennsylvania.
Richard obtained 427 acres in two parts from his father John (one part on 18 Nov 1735, the rest on 20 Mar 1741). On 13 May 1743, he purchased 200 acres from the estate of Jacob Jones for £163.2s. Part of this 627 acres he sold to his son-in-law Joseph Hood (husband of Mary).
A Richard Fawkes was administrator to John Fawkes of Newtown, Chester County, PA (will proved on 19 Dec 1758) and to William Fawkes (will proved on 8 Feb 1772).
He was also a witness to George Woodward of Newtown (will proved 20 Jan 1757). George may be the son of Edward Woodard and Alice Smedley; this Edward was the brother of Mary, mother of Richard's wife, Rebecca.
The executors of Richard Fawkes' will were wife Rebecca, daughter Rebecca, and sons-in-law Joseph Hood and Caleb Maris. They sold 44.5 acres to Ezra Thomas on 15 Feb 1790, though wife Rebecca was apparently not part of this transaction. Ezra in turn, sold this land to Joseph Hood the next day for £268.13.
