Notes:

William and his brother Peter sold their lands in Greenwich (Fairfield, Connecticut) in 1737 and 1738, and during the latter portion of 1738 they moved to Nine Partners (Dutchess County, New York). William continued to live in the section then known as "Charlotte Precinct" until his death in 1786.

On 1 Apr 1740 he was chosen a Surveyor of Highways, as well as a Poormaster. For many years he was a Fence Viewer and Overseer of Highways.

His will was dated 15 Dec 1770 and probated on 6 Nov 1786.
