Research Notes (source comments, unreliable information)

In the 1900 U.S. Census, William is shown as immigrating in 1895, his wife and children (except Erma, who was born in MN) in 1897. This disagrees with "A History of Clay and Norman Counties, Minnesota" which states that William immigrated in 1893, prior to his wife, who arrived in 1896. This information from this history is paraphrased here: William emigrated from Germany about 1893, prior to his wife. He lived in Blue Earth County, Minnesota until 1896, when he and his wife moved to Clay County, Minnesota, where they purchased 160 acres in Felton township. In 1904 they moved to another 160-acre farm east of Thief River Falls, Pennington County, Minnesota, and were still residing there in 1918.

There exists a Minnesota death certificate (ID 1925-MN-011019) for a William Parnow who died 22 Nov 1925 in Pennington County, MN.
