Notes:

Gustav and Tina were born, raised, and married in Germany. They immigrated to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania sometime in the 1870's, but after a few years they returned to Germany. The remained in Germany for a few years until they returned, this time to Blue Earth County, Minnesota.

In Blue Earth, they farmed until 1896 when they moved to Felton Township, Clay County, Minnesota.

Gustav farmed here until he retired and moved in with his son Ludwig, in Norman County, Minnesota. This happened in or before 1910. Tina had passed away by then.

In the 1910 U.S. Census, Gustav indicates he had his "own income" in the column reserved for occupation. Since it does not list his owning any land, it is not clear what, if anything, this notation means.
