Research Notes (source comments, unreliable information)

An unconfirmed record from another genealogist (on-line, referenced from son James) indicates Borg may have been "Baard Jensen Bo" (obviously incomplete, but something to go on).

There exists an 1880 census record for Otsego, Columbia County, WI (from Jun 1880) for Bill (age 52) and Ingeborg (age 54) both born in Norway, with children all born in Wisconsin: Martin (age 18), Halstin (age 15), Thomas R. (age 12). Also shown is Bill's father Jens (age 85), also born in Norway. This certainly fits with Borg (Americanized to Bill) and Ingeborg, the currently believed birth date of Martin, though Halstin is not a good name match for Henry. Thomas doesn't really match James, but the birth date of James is questionable. The older children could have reasonably left the house by then.
