Research Notes (source comments, unreliable information)

In 1874, Cyrus may have been elected as a delegate to the Republican State Convention.

In 1880, he may have moved to Rawlins County and, with James D. Greason, founded the "Republican Citizen."

In 1882 he may have been elected County Clerk of Rawlins County, holding this position until 1888.

A family photograph of Cyrus and Amanda, with children Donald and Harold from about 1899/1900 also shows Wilma Anderson, probably pre- or early teen -- in any case, she looks too old too have been born after 1891. Since Cyrus was 38 when he married Belle, Wilma was likely from an earlier marriage. There is an 1880 U.S. Census record for a Cyrus Anderson in IN, wife Kate, with child Bertha (b. about 1879), but this record would be too early for Wilma. Need to order a birth certificate.
