Research Notes (source comments, unreliable information)

She may have been born 26 Nov 1869 in Springdale, Cedar County, IA.

Her name is given as Lillie in most references, but in the 1925 it is spelled as Lily, and in the 1870 U.S. Census, she is identified as Lydia. (This could be poor penmanship, but there is a descender for the y and a dot for the i, so I think it is unlikely to be anything but Lydia.)

From the 1910 U.S. Census, Lydia may have been married prior to her marriage to Fred Stilwell. The 1930 U.S. Census indicates she was first married at age 26, or about 1896.

In the 1930 U.S. Census, her middle initial is given as M.
