Florence, along with her parents and siblings, were early members of the Wichita Methodist Church (built and dedicated in June 1898 with pastor Andrew H. Dove). [BayardNews1976]

In 1900, Florence was staying with Fred and Lydia Stilwell (her brother-in-law and sister) and attending school. [1900USC]

After she left school, she worked a nurse for a private family, but was still living with Fred and Lydia. [1910USC]

The 1905 Iowa State Census places a Florence L. Maris in Gutherie County (with a Wichita P.O. address).

There is a Florence Maris in Chicago, Illinois in 1920. She was born about 1883 in Iowa, but her parents are both identified as being from Pennsylvanis.
