Research Notes (source comments, unreliable information)

Eunice's middle name was probably Jane, and she was probably born in 1843. There also appears to be another Eunice Hockett in Indiana in the early 1900's, married to Ezra. Records need to be checked carefully.

She may have married Henry on 5 Oct 1865 at Mill Creek MM, Hendricks County, IN, and she may have died 1 Apr 1881. [unreliable source]

Her parents were probably David Osborne (b. 30 Sep 1797 in New Garden, Guilford County, NC) and Anna Mills (b. ?) and married 18 Nov 1836 in Mill Creek, Hendricks, IN. (However, there is another Eunice Osborne in Indiana, daughter of Elias and Mariah -- this can't be discounted yet, though she appears to be one or two years younger.)

I have a copy of a photograph of "a" David and Anna Osborn from 1873, which supports them as the parents of Eunice, but again, no solid evidence.

David and Anna may be listed in the 1870 U.S. census as neighbors of Henry and Eunice, living with Sarah Montgomery and Luzina Osborn (age 41) who is listed as "idiotic" (presumably mentally disabled).

David's first wife may have been Anna Stanley, married 1 Apr 1824 in New Garden Mm, Guilford County, NC.

David's parents may have been David Osbourne (Osborne), born 29 Oct 1762 in New Garden, and Lydia Davis.
