It is not clear when John Rogers arrived in North America. However, he was probably living in Scituate (in Massachusetts Colony) around 1647. This was recorded by his son John (Jr.) in a 1699 deposition before the Justices of the Court at Plymouth, regarding his father's sale of his house and land (located between the land of Thomas Hicks and John Stockbridge) in 1647.

John's will was dated 1 Feb 1660, and proven 5 Jun 1661. In addition to the names of his children it also names Posy Russel and John Russell as his grandchildren.

Research Notes (source comments, unreliable information)

John and his family (including his parents) may have arrived in Massachusetts Colony aboard the "Hercules.

There was a Thomas Rogers on the Mayflower in 1620. It is not know to me what, if any, family relationship existed between Thomas and John.

There is another John Rogers living about the same time in Waterton, and another identified as a vicar of Dedham, and one identified as John Rogers of Duxbury.
