Research Notes (source comments, unreliable information)

Othelia's name is variously spelled Othelia ("History of Clay and Norman Counties, Minnesota"), Ottlie (1900 U.S. Census), and Otelia (1905 Minnesota State Census).

In the 1900 U.S. Census, Othelia indicates she had 9 children, 7 of whom were still living. Currently, the birth and death dates for Selma, Alex, and Ernest are unknown. However, the census item confirms that all of the listed children were born before 1900. Because Alex and Ernest died so young and are not listed in 1900, it is likely that they were the children who were deceased.

Otillia may have died in 1922. (From on-line genealogy.)
