FOLLOWUP

Rebecca married John Derrick on 22 Oct 1878, and had four children: Roy, William, Hazel, and Loyal. Roy and William were living near Holleberg, Kansas in 1920. Hazel married _____ Hardy and had a son. Hazel and her son were living with her father John in 1920. Loyal died about 1918 in Camp Funston [a U.S. Army training base near Manhattan, Kansas] and that was reported as when Rebecca started her declining health. [Some of the first recorded flu cases of the 1918 pandemic were reported in this camp in March 1918; was that the cause of Loyal's death?] [obituary-rebecca-derrick-1920]
