William married secondly, Margaret Marlie, daughter of John Marlie, 20 Jun 1769 in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. William and Margaret Shipley's children were the named Sarah (m. Isaac Bartram, Jr.), Ann (m. Thomas See Bartram), John, and Hannah. (Isaac Bartram, Jr. and Thomas See Bartram were cousins; grandsons of John Bartram, by different wives.)
