Harold was married when he lived in Chicago, but his wife did not accompany him to Los Angeles. They had no children. [interview-helen-oram-2009]

Harold worked as a lithographer through 7 Jan 1948, when he was taken to Methodist Hospital in Los Angeles unexpectedly, and was diagnosed with double pneumonia.
