FOLLOWUP

The obituary of Thomas's father, David, notes that David and [Eunice] Jane had children named William, Josephine, John (who died as an infant), and Susan, but does not mention Thomas. However, Thomas is noted in other records (he was 5 years old in the 1870 U.S. Census). All of these children were born (and one died) before the David and his children moved to Rawlins County so it seems unlikely that Thomas was simply "forgotten" in the obituary. Are Thomas and William the same person? Could one of these be a middle name? If so Thomas William (or William Thomas) was living in Sutherland, Nebraska in 1917.
