Research Notes (Conflicts/Spelling/Followup)

FOLLOWUP

Mordecai was the son of Francis Yarnall, from Cloynes, County Worcester, England, and Hannah Baker (married 1686). Francis settled on land in Springfield Township that was patented on 6 Feb 1685/86.

Francis and Hannah both appear to have passed before 3 Mar 1768 and are not listed in Mordecai and Ann Maris' [Shipley's] wedding record. [marriage-yarnall-roberts-1745]

Light biographical information on the Yarnall family can be found in History of Chester County, Pennsylvania, by J. Smith Futhey and Gilbert Cope, page 778-780.

More information is available in the "Richardson-Yarnall family papers" held at the Friends Historical Library of Swarthmore College. A short abstract of this information is available on the website, <http://www.swarthmore.edu/library/friends/ead/5187rich.html>.
