Research Notes (Conflicts/Spelling/Followup)

SPELLING

Given Name: This database uses Ingebord. The 1880 U.S. Census uses Ingeborg. [census-us-1880-ps-wi-columbia-32-211]

FOLLOWUP

Boord and Ingebord and their first three children may have emigrated before 1862, as implied by the birth information for their children. However, it is not known if they emigrated as a family or if one or more emigrated separately. [census-us-1880-ps-wi-columbia-32-211]

According to Henry Johnson's death certificate (included as part of his "transportation of corpse" form), Ingebord's last name was Runvie. However, I can't find an instance of that as a surname anywhere, and it is curious that her maiden surname is given, but her first name is not. [death-henry-johnson-alt-1930]

According to the 1910 Census for Otsego Township Ingebord was mother to 7 children. However, as of 1910 only 6 were alive. I don't yet know who passed. [census-us-1910-ps-wi-columbia-25-19B]

It is curious that five of Ingebord's seven children have the middle initial 'B'. Could this be for Burnett, the middle name of her son Henry's own son? It is also curious that two sons are named Ole, and differentiated only by their middle name. [family-boord-ingebord-johnson-notes]
