Birth location: This database uses Nine Partners, Dutchess County, Province of New York. The History and Map of Danby, Vermont identifies Gilbert's birthplace as Nine Patners, N.Y., but this is clearly a misspelling of Nine Partners, a land grant in Dutchess County. Relationship (Father): This database uses William Palmer [3rd]. The History and Map of Danby, Vermont identifies his father as Abraham Palmer. Was Abraham the middle name of William? Or vice-versa? Note that Gilbert had a brother named Abraham. [book-history-and-map-of-danby-vermont-1869]

The meeting records for Nine Partners Monthly Meeting note that Gilbert Palmer and Sarah Deuel were the parents of Mary. However, the only known Mary in this database was born in Dec 1788, the daughter of Gilbert's second wife. Did Gilbert and Sarah have a child named Mary, who would almost certainly have to have been a twin of another child, and who may have died young? [book-quaker-records-nine-partners-mm]

Need to find land records to try to resolve the issue of Gilbert being born in a location before his father moved to that location. Is William not (this) Gilbert's father?
