The 1850 US Census places Mahlon on the second line (the "spouse" line) instead of as head-of-household. Does this have some meaning, or is it just an enumerator choice? [census-us-1850-ps-oh-clinton-jefferson-243b]
The 1850 US Census notes that Mahlon and his son Alvah were farming adjacent land after Alvah married. Did Mahlon split off part of his farm? [census-us-1850-ps-oh-clinton-jefferson-243b]
