Given Name: This database uses Ellie A. The will of her father, Tinch Carter, seems to use Elta. With some forgiveness this could, possibly, with squinting, be Ellie with the dot exagerated into a short line and the riser missing. It is somewhat concerning that her father would get her name wrong (unless the other source, made when she was still a child and her father young). For now, the will is assumed to be the misspelling.
