CONFLICTS

Marriage Date (Humphrey Need, Mary Melford): This source uses 15 May 1586. "Genealogical Gleanings in Great Britain" gives the date as 11 May 1686. The year is clearly a misprint since Humphrey's will was proved in 1591. The reason for the difference in days is unknown but another potential misprint. Social Rank: This database uses husbandman as his highest social rank. "Genealogical Cleanings in Great Britain" notes that Humphrey attained the social rank of yeoman, a rank just above that of husbandman. [periodical-genealogical-gleanings-in-gb-1913]
