Marriage Details
marriage-welty-spear-1891:
Comment Detail: Source includes date (11th day of April 1881) and location (State of Iniana, Owen County). The entry includes a license and a return. However, it likely isn't the original. The license is held within a book (rather than being something that could be given to the solemniser) and it states (on the form, not written in) that the return "certificate was filed in my office." In addition, the license date is "16 of April, 1881," five days after the marriage date given above.
