This database assumes she uses Donna as a nickname for Madonna. No evidence has been found that explictly states this, but it is implied by evidence that uses either Madonna Wahle or Donna Wahle as the wife of James McQuisten; some in this database, some not.
Madonna worked as a bookkeeper for J.D. Evans, presumably in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, but that is not specified. The year she started and the year she left are also not given, but she did work for them for over 30 years. It notes she left when the buisness was sold. There is still a J.D. Evans in Sioux Falls, but they may have kept the name. Her work with the company also presumably followed her work as an X-ray technician, which is implied the newspaper story about her wedding, but again is not stated in any evidence I've found so far. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Vearl Ray Wahle, and they lived in Salem [, South Dakota] on 21 August 1971. [periodical-wahle-mcquisten-recite-vows-1971]
Her parents are Vearl Ray Wahle and Annella (Weber) Wahle, who preceded her in death. Madonna's obituary also notes that sisters Mary Holt and Jean Peterson also preceded her in death (more on them below). Nephew Josh Peterson (presumably Jean's son) also died before Madonna.
