Research Notes (Conflicts/Spelling/Followup)

FOLLOWUP

His daughter, Margaret Mary Schoenfelder is mentioned in his 1942 military registration as a "person who will always know your address," living in the same town of Iroquois, South Dakota as Charles. [military-draftreg-charles-schoenfelder-1942]

His move in about 1961 to Mitchell, SD, was to Brady Memorial. This appears to be known now as Avera Brady Health and Rehab. [obituary-charles-schoenfelder-1967]

Another obituary was publised in The Daily Republic (Mitchell, South Dakota) on 19 Aug 1967, p.2, c.2, "C.Schoenfelder Funeral Mass Slated Monday". Because the information may have been provided by the same informant as the obituary used in this database, it is not used. Fortunately, it mostly duplicates the obituary that is used but is missing a few details. It also adds a few others, all of which are relibably covered by other sources.

Charles is survived by four sons, Herbert (Iroquois, SD), Lester (Iroquois, SD), Alfred (Iroquois, SD), and Wilmer (Iroquois, SD), and three daughters, Margaret Schoenfelder (Iroquois, SD), Julie Geiman (Iroquois, SD, husband Aden), and Regina Stanbauer (Anaconda, MT, husband William). [obituary-charles-schoenfelder-1967]

His wife and an infant son died before Charles. [obituary-charles-schoenfelder-1967]
