CONFLICTS

Birth Date: This database uses 22 Jan 1887. The Sol Miller--Sadie Koven marriage certificate gives an age of (23), which, when applied to the marriage date of 29 Jan 1911, gives a birth date range from 30 Jan 1887 to 29 Jan 1888. [marriage-miller-koven-1911]

FOLLOWUP

The extensive changes in his birth return are somewhat troubling. Was he really born Charles Müller, but adopted by the Millers and with a name change to Sol Herbert Miller? This seems rather improbable since this is supposed to be a birth certificate of his actual birth, not a change in parents. And the coincidences and conflicts don't add up to that in my view. The idea of a name change after the certificate was issued, either formal (through a legal procedure) or informal (just using the different name) is more likely. [birth-sol-miller-1887]

Asher and Annie Miller's children, including Sol (and his family), Rose, Harry, Sadie, and Charles, but not Edith, were living at the same address (house number and street) in 1915, but in two separate households. Florance[sic] Powell (30) was also living in a third household at this address (consisting only of herself), but her relationship with the Millers, if any, is unknown.
